Who are we?

We are a group of about 150 enthusiastic tennis players sharing six Community Amenity tennis courts. We have 26 teams in 7 leagues participating at various levels in intramural, county and inter-county competitive leagues. We hold fun round robin tournaments and enjoy great, fun luncheons!

We are dedicated to encouraging good health and sportsmanship and stimulating interest in tennis.

Why join the Tennis Association?

There are a number of good reasons!
 
For a $100 annual fee you can ...
 
* join one of our 18 tennis teams which play in County leagues or one of the 8 teams which play intramurals * use our ball machine, and schedule appointments to take lessons from our resident tennis pros * partake in our round robin tournaments, luncheons with fun award ceremonies * accompany other members of the tennis association to professional tennis tournaments and exhibitions * and, take advantage of the fellowship and help of your tennis association members.

  • Last Social on Concrete Courts

    On Monday, May 14th at 5:30, 68 members and guests enjoyed the last HGTA social on concrete courts. Spirited, friendly round-robin play (both mens and womens doubles) alternated with rounds of eating and talking. Lets face it, we do both of these a LOT better than we play!

    For the record, the last doubles match was played between Howard Luckett and AJ Sembiante against Rick Barringer and Bill Argo. Rick would like it to be known that he WON his service with a modicum of help from Bill. Congratulations to "the last men standing"!

  • Construction Begins on Har-Tru Courts!!!!
    As promised, Welch Tennis Courts began work bright and early on May 15th for the new Har-Tru courts. Thanks to Jess Dunham, Ray Lydon and AJ/Cristine Sembiante, we have pictures galore. Go to the NEWS/Events link to see them.

    New Leagues and Teams have been formed! Go to Members link, Sign-in and click on LEAGUE SignUP. Select REGular or SUBstitute, tell us when you will be available, and SUBMIT - that's all there is to it !!!
